Who we are

Our Journey: A Story of Purpose, Healing, and Transformation

When 180 Evolution Therapy began, it was born out of a deep recognition: too many individuals and couples were navigating life’s challenges without access to care that truly understood their lived experiences. From our earliest days, we committed to building more than a practice; we set out to create a therapeutic home where healing is personalized, culturally centered, and inherently human.

At the heart of our story is the belief that healing begins with being seen, heard, and valued. Rather than applying one-size-fits-all solutions, we embraced integrative approaches that honor the whole person, nurturing restoration and growth. This philosophy shaped everything we do, from trauma-informed counseling and grief support to relationship coaching designed to help couples strengthen their connection and build thriving partnerships.

Our founder’s vision was amplified by a team of dedicated clinicians and life coaches committed to walking beside each client on their unique path. With a blend of clinical expertise and heartfelt empathy, our team creates spaces where individuals and couples are empowered to reclaim their stories and step confidently into the next chapter of their lives.

Today, 180 Evolution Therapy stands as a testament to what’s possible when care is rooted in inclusivity, compassion, and purpose. What began as a mission to address a growing need has evolved into a community of transformation, supporting individuals who pursue healing, growth, and wholeness every day.

Our Goal

We deliver integrative therapeutic solutions designed to support clients on their individual paths toward growth and healing. By thoughtfully challenging traditional norms within mental health care, we cultivate inclusive, affirming environments where every individual is valued, heard, and empowered to thrive.

Our Mission

180 Evolution Therapy exists to provide faith-rooted, culturally affirming mental health care to BIPOC individuals, couples, and families who have carried too much alone, offering clinical excellence, compassionate presence, and whole-person healing across mind, body, spirit, and culture.

Vision Statement

A world where every person, regardless of race, culture, or faith background, has access to healing that sees and honors all of who they are.

Our Guiding Principles

At 180 Evolution Therapy, our work is guided by accountability, transparency, empathy, and inclusivity. These principles influence every aspect of our practice, from clinical care to organizational leadership, and reinforce our commitment to providing culturally sensitive services that respect diversity, foster meaningful connections, and ensure every client feels respected, supported, and valued.

The Six Dimensions of Your Healing

At 180 Evolution Therapy, healing is never one-dimensional. True transformation touches every part of who you are. That is why our care is built around six dimensions of whole-person wellness.

1. Mind  Your thoughts shape your world. We help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build new ways of thinking that support clarity, confidence, and growth, using evidence-based tools such as CBT, DBT, and ACT.

2. Spirit: Faith is not separate from healing - for many, it is the foundation of it. We honor your spiritual identity and offer care that integrates Biblical truth with clinical expertise, for those who desire it.

3. Body: Your body holds your story. Through somatic-informed approaches and trauma-sensitive care, we help you reconnect with your body's wisdom and move toward safety, presence, and peace.

4. Culture: Your background is not a footnote; it is essential context. We offer culturally affirming, identity-honoring care that sees all of who you are and reflects it back with dignity and respect.

5. Growth: Healing is not a destination; it is a direction. We walk alongside you as you develop new skills, build resilience, and step into the version of yourself you were created to be.

6. Community:  No one heals in isolation. From GriefShare groups to church partnerships, we are committed to building a broader community of support that extends beyond the therapy room.

What makes us different

We focus on treating the whole person rather than the symptoms. Our approach to therapy is symbolic of a doula in that we support our clients emotionally throughout their healing journey by providing educational and holistic support to help them identify the root causes of their behavioral symptoms. This approach is practical because it seeks to restore rather than band-aid the issues presented.
