Where my story begins
Before I ever sat in the therapist’s chair, I sat on the couch. I know what it feels like to walk into a therapy room carrying more than you can put into words. I’ve had therapists who truly saw me, and I’ve had therapists who didn’t. That contrast stayed with me. It became the quiet fire behind my calling: to be the kind of therapist who helps every person feel genuinely heard, not just assessed.
Being a client first shapes everything about how I show up in the room today. I remember how much it meant to be met with curiosity instead of a checklist. So when you sit down with me, I want to know you: your story, your culture, your relationships, and what you hope life can look like on the other side of this season.
Healing isn’t always pretty
My journey taught me something I carry into every session: healing isn’t always pretty. Some moments will be uncomfortable, even painful. But I’ve lived the truth that those moments aren’t the end of the story. There was a time when I believed I would be stuck forever. Therapy showed me how far that belief was from the truth. Now I get to help my clients discover the same truth for themselves.
Who I work with
I specialize in working with BIPOC women, older adults, and couples: individuals and partnerships navigating the layered weight of identity, relationships, and life’s transitions. I bring more than a decade of experience as both an advocate within the school system and a clinician, a master’s degree in social work, and advanced training in trauma-informed care to every session. Whether you’re adjusting to a new chapter of life, carrying more than anyone sees, or trying to find your way back to your partner, you deserve a space where all of you is welcome.
How I can help
Individual therapy. A compassionate, judgment-free space to explore your experiences, build self-awareness, and move toward the life you deserve.
Couples counseling. Support for partners navigating conflict, communication breakdowns, and disconnection, with tools to build deeper, more resilient bonds.
Trauma recovery. Trauma-informed care that honors your pace, your story, and your strength, helping you process the past without letting it define you.
Anxiety, stress & depression. Evidence-based strategies to restore balance, regulate your emotions, and reconnect with hope when life feels overwhelming.
Identity & personal growth. Supportive exploration of questions about self, purpose, cultural identity, and life transitions.
My approach
My approach is integrative and whole-person. I believe healing involves all of you: spirit, mind, and body. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT). Rather than handing you a one-size-fits-all plan, I work alongside you to untangle the patterns that have kept you stuck and build the clarity and confidence to move forward.
Where faith fits
Faith isn’t separate from my work. It’s woven into the fabric of who I am. For clients who want it, I integrate faith principles into our work together with care and intention. Your spiritual journey is your own, and I will always honor it without imposing mine. If faith isn’t something you want to bring into therapy, I fully respect that too.
You don’t have to walk in alone
I meet every client where they are, not where the world thinks they should be. I bring warmth, clinical skill, and an unwavering belief in your capacity to heal. Some sessions will hold hard conversations. Others will help you notice how far you’ve already come.
At 180 Evolution Therapy, a new chapter is always possible. You don’t have to walk into it alone, and I would be honored to walk with you.
