Yazmeen N. Irving, M.A., LCMHC, CCC

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor | Certified Career Counselor | Practice Owner

Yazmeen N. Irving is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in Raleigh, North Carolina, a Certified Career Counselor, a practice owner, and an advocate for whole-person healing. She believes deeply that recovery is not just possible; it is your birthright.

With over two decades of lived wisdom as a wife, mother, and member of a blended family of five, Yazmeen brings a rare blend of personal depth and clinical expertise to every session. She holds dual master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Career Counseling from North Carolina Central University's CACREP-accredited program, and she is now continuing her training there as a doctoral student in Counseling, Counselor Education, and Supervision (Ed.D.). The program prepares ethical scholar-practitioners to transform communities across North Carolina, a mission that mirrors her own commitment to her clients and community. Her clinical work draws on proven approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and somatic therapies.

A gardener at heart, Yazmeen knows that growth cannot be rushed. It takes good soil, patient tending, and trust in the season. Her approach is deeply relational, embodied, and present, offering steady, compassionate support to clients at every stage of their healing journey.

Just as a garden thrives only when the whole ecosystem is cared for, Yazmeen's counseling is holistic and unapologetically whole-person. She honors the sacred connection between spirit, soul, mind, and body, and meets each client where they are, not where the world says they should be. Whether you are navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, identity, career uncertainty, or relational wounds, Yazmeen creates a space where your full self is welcomed, seen, and supported.

Because the whole-person approach includes the work that shapes so much of our lives, Yazmeen brings specialized expertise at the intersection of counseling and career development. She is a Certified Career Counselor (CCC) through the National Career Development Association (NCDA). She helps clients explore how career, family, culture, faith, and community shape one another, whether they are navigating a career transition, recovering from burnout, clarifying their purpose, or finding a sustainable balance between work and home.

At the root of it all is her faith. For Yazmeen, faith is not separate from her clinical work; it is woven into it. For clients who desire faith-integrated care, she combines evidence-based therapy with Biblical principles, honoring God as the ultimate source of healing while walking alongside them with professional skill and warmth.
