Meet Morgan Murph

M.S., LCMHCA · Child, Adolescent & Family Therapist

“I’ve spent years working with families where life actually happens: at home, at school, and in the community. I bring that real-world experience into every session.”

4+ years supporting children and families
5 settings home, community, early intervention, outpatient, telehealth
Birth to adulthood from infants and toddlers to adults

Is this what brought you here?

  • Your child has big feelings, meltdowns, or behaviors that are hard to manage at home or school.
  • Your teen seems anxious, withdrawn, or hard to reach, and you’re not sure how to help.
  • Your family keeps having the same arguments, and everyone feels unheard.
  • You’re a parent who wants new tools and more confidence, not more guilt.
  • You’re a young adult or adult carrying anxiety, past hurt, or a big life change.

If any of these sound familiar, you’re in the right place.

Experience that meets families where they live

Much of my work has happened outside a traditional therapy office, and that shapes how I practice. I’ve learned what helps families on a busy weeknight, not just what sounds good in session. My experience includes:

  • In-home and community-based family support. I work directly with children, teens, and caregivers in their homes and communities, teaching emotional regulation, communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and practical parenting strategies, and coordinating with schools and other providers so new skills stick across settings.
  • Early intervention. Since 2023, I’ve partnered with families of infants and young children with developmental delays, offering culturally responsive strategies that support a child’s growth and the whole family’s well-being.
  • Supporting children with autism. As a Registered Behavior Technician, I provided individualized skill-building and behavioral support to children on the autism spectrum.
  • Individual and family therapy. I provide telehealth therapy for children, adolescents, and adults navigating anxiety, emotional regulation, and family conflict, using CBT, DBT, and play-based approaches.
  • Clinical training across the lifespan. During my graduate internship, I counseled clients from young children to older adults through anxiety, trauma, depression, grief, and family conflict, and co-led a support group for families from historically marginalized communities.
  • Community education. I’ve led workshops on mental health, self-care, and empowerment, including an award-winning educational presentation.

What this means for you: practical, realistic tools you can use at home, at school, and in your relationships, from someone who understands how family life really works.

What working with me looks like

  • We start by understanding. Before we change anything, we get curious about what’s happening and what’s underneath it.
  • We build real-life skills. Every session aims for something you can actually use between appointments.
  • We include the people who matter. For children and teens, I partner with parents and caregivers, and with your permission, I can coordinate with schools and other supports.
  • We go at your pace. Therapy is tailored to you, your family, and your culture, never one-size-fits-all.

My Approach

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and client-centered. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Motivational Interviewing, and Humanistic, Narrative, Person-Centered, and Strength-Based approaches. My care is trauma-informed and culturally responsive, honoring the identities, values, and family traditions each person brings into the room.

Supporting Children, Teens & Parents

With children and adolescents, feeling safe and understood comes first. I use play-based, creative, and age-appropriate approaches to help young clients name their emotions, build coping skills, grow in confidence, and communicate in healthier ways. Children do best when the adults around them feel supported too, so I work closely with parents to build understanding, strengthen relationships, and practice strategies that fit your family’s everyday routines.

What I Believe About Healing

My own experiences have helped me understand how meaningful therapy can be, and how the right support can help us see our circumstances, and ourselves, in new ways. Healing is not about changing who you are. It’s about understanding yourself more deeply, recognizing the strengths you already have, and creating space for growth.

Whether you are a young person learning to manage big emotions, a parent trying to better understand your child, a family working through a difficult season, or an adult navigating anxiety, relationships, self-doubt, or life transitions, you do not have to figure it all out alone. Together, we can explore what’s getting in the way, build on what’s already working, and move toward greater confidence, connection, and self-compassion.
